This Privacy Policy explains how MyRouteMap (“MyRouteMap”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use
the MyRouteMap website and services (the “Service”).
Information we collect
- Account information: email address, username, and authentication details needed to sign in.
- Trip and route data: trips, routes, stops/waypoints, names/notes you enter, and related metadata (distance/time estimates).
- Feedback and support: messages you submit through Feedback or email support, including attachments you provide.
- Usage and device data: basic logs (e.g., timestamps, pages/actions, error diagnostics) to operate and secure the Service.
- SMS text messaging data: if you opt in to ride and route text updates, we may store your mobile number, opt-in status, message preference details, and related delivery/support records.
- Location data: we do not require precise device GPS to use the Service; however, addresses/places you enter may reflect location.
If you choose map features that use your device location (browser permission), that data is processed by your browser and map provider.
How we use information
- Provide the Service (route planning, saving/exporting routes, trip logs, and related features).
- Authenticate users, protect accounts, and prevent abuse or fraud.
- Maintain and improve features, performance, and reliability (including debugging and error investigation).
- Communicate with you about service updates, maintenance, policy changes, and support requests.
- Send informational SMS text messages only when you explicitly opt in to ride and route updates.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited situations:
- Service providers: vendors that help us host, store, process, or send email and SMS text messages (only as needed to provide the Service).
- Legal and safety: if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the Service.
- With your direction: for example, if you choose to share a trip link or export files and send them to others.
SMS / text messaging
If you choose to opt in, MyRouteMap may send informational SMS text messages related to your selected trip or route.
These messages may include stop alerts, ETA updates, next-stop details, distance remaining, and trip progress notifications.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
Data retention
We keep account, trip/route, and feedback data for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the Service.
We may retain certain logs for security, debugging, and compliance purposes.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices

Children
